Thank you for your interest in joining the Montreal World Health Organization Simulation 2010 team! Currently in its fourth straight year, MonWHO continues to build on its past successes and will be the largest to date. We expect approximately 120 delegates, reflecting university students’ interests in international and global health issues and demand for greater global involvement.
Taking place from March 5th-7th, the conference intends to stimulate discussion and debate, and to reinforce the interdisciplinary nature of global health and development, by drawing on the experiences and knowledge of students in health care professions, law, social science, business, and health science. In turn, we hope to broaden awareness of issues concerning pandemic diseases and familiarize delegates with the functioning of the World Health Organization.
MonWHO’s continuing success is primarily due to the dedication of our talented staff. We are currently looking for chairs, vice-chairs, and directors to run our committees. New to this year’s conference is a potential crisis stimulation, and we need experienced individuals to fill in the roles of crisis director and crisis staff. If you are interested in global health issues and looking for a fun and rewarding experience, I strongly encourage you to apply for one of the above-mentioned positions, whether you are a seasoned Model UNer or simply want to be involved in organizing an amazing conference. You can apply by submitting the online application form here or email me directly at congsi.wu@monwho.org.
