Delegate Resources

There are four main resources provided to delegates by the Secretariat in advance of the conference. We strongly suggest you read all of these documents over if you wish to maximize your experience at the conference!

1)   Background Guide – both a general and region specific overview of pertinent topics surrounding the Pandemic Preparedness theme. The guide also contains links to additional resources as well as discussion questions!

2)   Forumsall delegates are expected to sign up for the forums. Here, you will have a chance to ask you colleagues and the Secretariat questions and get discussions going prior to the event. Position Papers will be posted on the forums, giving you a chance to have an in depth look at the concerns of other nations surrounding Pandemic Preparedness.  All delegates are expected to submit position papers that outline the specific situation of their country. Position papers are to be submitted no later than midnight February 26th to charge@monwho.org. For instructions regarding the writing and submission of position papers click here.

3)   Rules of Procedure – this page outlines the procedures that will be followed during the conference and the basis on which discussion will be moderated and resolution written. This page gives you an overview of the terminology you will need to be familiar with to be an effective delegate.

4)   Crisis Simulation Guide – this guide gives an overview of what a crisis simulation. This guide gives you an idea of precisely how the crisis will be actualized at the conference.
