We are pleased to announce that MonWHO will be hosting its second annual NGO Fair at this year’s conference! As a participant in the MonWHO conference 2010, you are cordially invited to display a poster representing your respective organisation or humanitarian project at this exciting event. The event is designed to provide opportunities for delegates to take their passion for fostering a healthier global community out of the model setting and into the real world.
The NGO Fair is meant to be a space for delegates to share and grow! The poster session underscores the theme of the conference, while sharing new perspectives and solutions in tackling global health issues. If you are the leader or member of a local/global community project or student/registered organization whose voice you would like to be heard at this event, please register on the website. We are delighted to promote student leadership and to have student initiatives represented at this event!
If you wish to apply for a spot at the NGO Fair, please submit an abstract of 400 words or less addressing the following:
- 1) Description of the issues your project/organization addresses:
• How does your project/organization address these issues?
• How does your organization fit this year’s theme of pandemic preparedness?
• How does your project/organization relate to the spirit of the MonWHO?2) Outline of what you wish to present at the NGO Fair:
• What do you hope to bring to the NGO Fair through your presentation?
• What opportunities do you wish to offer to your fellow delegates?
3) Description of your individual relationship with your organization:
• What is your position within the project/organization?
• How have you contributed to your project/organization?
• What is your motivation for being part of this project/organization?
Abstracts will be reviewed by a selection committee of at least three members who will select presenters based on the following criteria:
- 1) The strength of the presenters involvement with the project/organization
2) The extent of the opportunities and/or eye openings the project/organization offers to delegates
3) The relationship between the project/organization, this year’s theme, and the spirit of the conference
Abstracts must be submitted to stanley.kwan@monwho.org no later than midnight, February 8th, 2010. No late submissions will be accepted. Keep in mind that there is limited space for the posters so we will allocate the spaces accordingly.
